OK, as you've come to expect, I'm gonna get really transparent; I hope you'll still love me. :)
But, honestly, can I share heart to heart with you? If so, read on.
Sometimes I get weary from the constant onslaught against my faith. I grow tired of unforeseen battles and the endless circumstances that constantly war against me. When I hear God's promises and commands I joyfully step out in obedient faith, only to find another raging battle! Honestly, at times, I want to scream ENOUGH!!!
Abraham faced the uncertainty of not receiving God's promise. David faced a monstrous giant, Goliath. Joseph's dreams faced endless opposition. The disciples faced constant persecution.
Friend, in the war against uncertainty, in the constant battle that wars against our faith, there is one truth we can hold on to...GOD is FAITHFUL.
In 2 Chronicles 32:7-8, we read: "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged
because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a
greater power with us than with him. With him is only the arm of flesh,
but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles."
Every
day, a war rages for our soul, a constant battle fights against our
mind. BUT, are not alone!!! In your struggling
relationships...health...finance...dreams...purpose...GOD is near.
Listen carefully, don't miss out on the hope found in these words of comfort, apply them to your individual battles and circumstances of life...
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of your battles, obstacles, hindrances or oppositions! Why??? Because there is a greater power with us than what comes against us. The LORD our God helps us and fights our battles."
After all, "Greater is He that is in us...than he that is in this world." (1 John 4:4)
The Lord Himself fights our battles (just as He did for Hezekiah in 2 Chronicles 32:7-8.)
The Lord fights for us just like He did Moses and the
Israelites. In Exodus 14:13-14, Moses told the people, "Do not be
afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring
you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still." (NIV)
Apart from God we CAN DO NOTHING! But, Friends, we are NOT abandoned to our own reasoning, abilities or strength.
God is with us! He is faithful! He has promised us that He will never leave us until He fulfills ALL that HE has PROMISED. (Genesis 28:15)
I for one am going to hold fast on to Him, wait for His strength, and by His grace press on toward His promise. How about you?
Always, God's PERFECT timing. Thank you for this Julie. God's Blessings
