You Are Loved!

At 3:00 in the morning, I whispered, "Lord, I know You are real...I just need to know You still care for me. I'm tired. Weary. And I need to hear Your voice. I need You to speak to me. Would You speak to me supernaturally in my dreams? Would You speak to me in such a way that I know it's You and not just my mind making things up?" and then went sleepily to bed.

The following morning, I looked affectionately to my husband thinking he called my name. "Julie." The tenderness and gentleness of His loving voice made me smile. But, as I looked to my husband, he was in a deep sleep.

Friend, I've only experienced hearing God's audible whisper twice in my life. Hearing His voice audibly is a rarity; some never experience it. But here's what I know...whether we hear God's voice audibly...GOD is intimately involved in our lives. He whispers to us every day. He calls our name, affectionately. He displays His love all around us. We are not alone. He will never abandon us. Everything in all creation was made with us in mind. He whispers to us and cries out to us through His Word.

  • Isaiah 43:4-5, "Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give men in exchange for you, and people in exchange for your life. Do not be afraid, for I am with you;" (NIV)
  • Jeremiah 31:3-4, "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness. I will build you up again and you will be rebuilt," (NIV)
  • Isaiah 49:15-16, "Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;" (NIV)
Today, take a moment and listen for Him; He is speaking. You are HIS beloved. Check out this video below, by Tenth Avenue North...and remember...YOU ARE LOVED!
