Woo-hoo! After four years of waiting, me and my hubby are finally taking a vacation. I can't wait to steal away some much needed time of reconnecting with him and enjoying the serenity of sandy beaches and ocean waves together.
Quite honestly, I plan on taking the week to listen and seek God and following the instruction found in Hebrews 4:9-11, which says: "There remains, then, a Sabbath — rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest." (NIV)
I look forward to being renewed in my strength as I wait upon the Lord!
I'm sure the week will be filled with many lessons and new found direction. Can't wait to share more when I return.
So, until next week, I want to encourage you to find a place of solitude as well...oh...it may not be on sandy beaches...but rest can be found anywhere we take the time to sit silently before the Lord!!!
Isaiah 40:31 promise that "those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." (NIV)
God bless...talk to you next week!
