God's Gentle Reminder

Today, as I sat quietly before God, He reminded me of the loving words I've whispered to my children, especially lately.

"I love you, baby girl."... "You are so precious to me."... "God has great plans for your life."..."You are so amazing."

Unexpectedly, I felt God whisper the same words over me. His gentleness overwhelmed me.

Could God really whisper such loving words of affection to us? Is His love really that intimate? I wondered.

I don't know about you, but God's love has a way of lifting my heavy weights.

Today, a  rush of emotions burst from within me. I couldn't contain my tears as I read from Isaiah 43:4-5: "Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give men in exchange for you, and people in exchange for your life. Do not be afraid, for I am with you." (NIV)

Friend, you are God's masterpiece...His workmanship. Like the rising and setting sun, your life was designed to reveal His glory. You are not an after thought. You were designed uniquely for a purpose, on purpose! Like the rain that falls and waters the earth, God chose you to nourish life all around you...your marriage, your children, your workplace, your church, your community!

One of my life verses, Ephesians 2:10, reminds us that "we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (NIV)

Today, I felt God impressing me to remind you--YOUR LIFE COUNTS! Your life makes a difference. You have been chosen, by God, for a purpose. You are loved. You are NOT alone!

I'd love to hear your thoughts and encourage you to share them in the comments section below. Also, if you know of someone else who may need a simple reminder that God loves them and that their life matters...I encourage you to share today's link with them.
