"Press on. Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not: unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are important."
Friends, if we believe the Bible to be true; if we believe it to be our all authoritative rule for life and conduct, then we must remember that His word promises us that the same Spirit that raised Christ from the grave now lives in us! THINK ABOUT THAT! He has given us His Spirit. (Romans 8:11)
2 Peter 1:3-4 says, "His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires." (NIV)
AHHHHH c'mon...someone ought to let out a shout on that promise! :)
We must persevere! We have NO other choice. God has called each one of us to a task. What's yours? What has God called you to?
Are you facing Financial Ruin? Divorce? Depression? Cancer? Have your dreams been shattered? Do you wonder if your life makes a difference? Do you question the future? Have you lost all hope?
Today, I want to encourage you to PRESS ON! Hold fast to God's promises! AND REMEMBER...
"IF GOD is for us (and He is)...
then who can stand against us?"
PRAYER: Father we put our trust in YOU! Help us to persevere! Empower us by Your Spirit. Fill us with confidence. Encourage us today. Let Your favor rest upon us. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

ReplyDeleteDear Anonymous...thank you so much for your words of encouragement! I'm smiling ear to ear. My passion is truly to glorify God and encourage His people! Thank you! :)
ReplyDeleteJulie,
ReplyDeleteI recently taught Phil 3, about pressing on. Love that concept and that process. The thing God has me pressing into and on in right now is total dependence on Him. I want to have little pockets of security other places but He wants me to depend solely on Him. Exciting lesson to learn. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Lyn, I'm with you. God is doing a similar work in me...taking me deeper...and helping me trust Him more. Good...but challenging at times. :) I'll pray for you; you pray for me.
