A Word of Encouragement

STOP EVERYTHING! Take a deep breath; remember WHO you serve. Halt your activity for just a moment. Quiet the ramblings of your endless "to do list". Listen to God's gentle words...

"Be still , and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." (Psalm 46:10, NIV)

No matter your circumstances, concerns, or crises you face...God is God...and I sense His gentle encouragement today...reminding me...to remind you...YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

He sees you right where you are. Your seemingly insurmountable obstacles are no challenge to Him. Through Isaiah 46:4, God speaks His comfort to our hearts, saying, "Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you." (NIV)

Need provision? God promises I will sustain you. Feeling misunderstood? God reminds you that He has made you. Feeling weak, like you can't go on? God promises He will carry you. Feeling weary from having to face an endless onslaught from your enemies? God promises He will sustain and rescue you...YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

So, take a deep breath. Meditate again upon the truth of Psalm 46:10, "Be still , and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." (NIV)

My dear friends...God can be trusted. I love David's declaration in Psalm 37:25, "I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread." (NIV) God is with you. DON'T GIVE UP!

PRAYER: Father, encourage those who are weak with your strength...bless the ones needing provision with your favor...and rescue each broken-hearted and battle weary soul...I pray, in Jesus name, amen!

  2. Julie,
I needed this one today. I've been driven by the tyrany of the urgent lately and am feeling depleted. I'm going to sit with the Lord for a bit and let everything else tumble away. God is good and I need to feel His breath on my cheek. Thanks for the sweet reminder.
