This morning, as I sought the Lord what I should write about, God's reply surprised me.
You see, the first thing I do every morning, as I awake, is to "snuggle in" real close to my husband; I pray for him and then I silently pray...Lord, what do you want me to share on my blog today? How can I encourage your people to follow after the dreams you've put in their heart? How can I encourage them from the truth of your word?
Then I wait...usually a verse pops in to my mind that I believe is from God. Once I know what I'm going to write about, I jump to my feet, get the kids fed and off to school, and then hurry to my computer to pray and write.
Today...no specific verse came to mind...no word pictures...no stories...just a simple thought directly from God..."Tell my people that I love them...that I see them...that they are not alone."
I felt Him saying that He sees our brokenness, our fears, our doubts...we wonder how could God really love us? How could He take pleasure in us when we still have so many impurities. We've conditioned our beliefs to society's standards...BUT God loves us unconditionally; (and though I believe of course that we should ask for forgiveness of our sins and live to please Him) His grace and mercy cover all of our offenses.
You are truly loved. And not just by any ordinary person...You ARE LOVED by the most AMAZING & POWERFUL God! And today...as I prayed for you...as I prayed about what I should write...as I asked Lord what do You want to say to Your people...again, He gently responded...
"Tell them that I love them."
So, today as you go through your day, as you face your battles, as you check off the "to do list" demanding your attention...SMILE--because God loves you.
Ask Him to lead you. Ask Him to be near you. Ask Him to allow you to sense His presence. And He will!
Ah...there it is...finally I thought of our verse for today...Jeremiah 31:3-4,"...I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness. I will build you up again and you will be rebuilt..."NIV
Prayer: Father, build us up today. Thank You for Your mercy. Thank You that You choose to not remember our sins and all of our weaknesses and failures. Thank You that You love us and thank You for reminding us today, of just how blessed we are to know You. Help us reflect Your glory, mercy, and love so that others might come to know You to! In Jesus Name...Amen.
Oh that was Awesome! Today, alittle before 10am, while on break, I told my fiance...Jesus really really loves me!
ReplyDeleteI am just sitting here smiling!!
He's an Awesome God, and thank you for listening and obeying Him!!
Love,
Julie
I'm impressed that the first thing you do in the morning is snuggle close to your husband. The first thing I do is stumble to the bathroom and then the coffee maker.

Beautiful post, friend.

How many lives could start to improve today if we awoke every morning with the thought, "God loves me"?
